AST announces Indian subsidiary, Tacoma PharmaSolutions Private Limited – a wholly owned Indian subsidiary to keep pace with the regions growing bio-similar and biologics manufacturing industries.
In a move to expand its footprint in India, Automated Systems of Tacoma, LLC (AST), a leading aseptic fill/finish equipment manufacturer, is pleased to announce the establishment of a wholly owned Indian subsidiary, Tacoma PharmaSolutions Private Limited.
India is an emerging biosimilar and biologics hub experiencing rapid growth in the CDMO, CRO, drug development, biologics manufacturing, personalized medicines, and orphan drug manufacturing industries. With this growth come the regulatory challenges faced in the aseptic filling of complex biological formulations.
Over 10 years ago, AST revolutionized the aseptic fill/finish industry with the launch of the ASEPTiCell®. Using robotics and advanced automation, the ASEPTiCell® was the industry’s first multi-format fill/finish machine capable of processing Ready-to-Use nested vials, cartridges and syringes on the same line. Today, AST offers a range of products to support our customers in drug product development, clinical and commercial fill/finish needs, including the AST GENiSYS® Lab, GENiSYS® and ASEPTiCell® product lines.

GENiSYS® is a compact aseptic filling machine specifically designed for small batch manufacturing of parenteral products. It is capable of filling and closing ready to use vials, syringes and cartridges on a compact, highly flexible platform, at up to 20 units per minute.
