Given this targeted nature the value of these products are high and batch sizes are small. This brings new manufacturing challenges to aseptic fill-finish operations where traditional approaches are not meeting the flexibility, yield or efficiency these products require. AST is excited to be participating at this years American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Midyear meeting Decmber 3rd -7th in Orlando, FL. The ASHP Midyear Cinical Meeting is the largest gathering of pharmacists in the world. With its focus on improving patient care, the meeting is a dynamic venue discussing important issues relevant to contemporary pharmacy practice. The Midyear Meeting includes multiple educational tracks discussing rapid microbiological detection methods in the clinical, methods and techniques to improve patient safety, and regulatory discussions surrounding USP <797> and <800>.
