Our History:
AST was established in 1965 by Dave Teodoro, Sr. He began the business with over 20 years of personal experience in machinery manufacturing.
In the late '60's and '70's, AST was predominately involved with prototype work, specializing in developmental projects for the plywood and lumber industries. It was during these early years that AST's reputation for designing and manufacturing quality equipment was born! |

|
In the '80's, AST began to gradually expand its emphasis beyond the singular focus of developmental projects. By the end of the decade, AST was well versed in designing and manufacturing custom production equipment.

Today, our greatest asset is our more than 50 highly qualified employees. Their training, experience, and efforts have contributed to tremendous growth for AST. Our 45,000 sq. ft. facility is well equipped to handle all aspects of machine design and manufacturing. Much of the equipment we manufacture is installed by AST field personnel. Our customer service department is positioned to respond quickly to the customer's need for spare parts. Most importantly, customers are consistently turning to AST because of our proven ability to handle their custom equipment needs in a thorough, competent, and efficient manner.
After 40 years, the ownership of AST remains in the Teodoro family. Dave's three sons, Dave Jr., Don, and Dick provide the foundation necessary to carry the company into the future.
Our Mission
To utilize our expertise in engineering, manufacturing, and project management to positively impact the lives of our customers, co-workers, and suppliers.
Our Vision
To be the preferred automation solutions partner through superior innovation, quality and service.
Our Values
Simply stated, AST conducts all facets of business according to the highest ethical standards and with the utmost integrity.
Our Customer Commitment
Developing solid relationships with our customers is as important to AST as building quality equipment. By working together with our customers, we are able to develop a firm foundation that is based on clear communication and mutual respect.
Confidentiality
Many of AST's projects are proprietary in nature. We understand the importance of the competitive advantage that can be achieved with custom automated equipment. AST is careful to respect each customer's need for confidentiality. We maintain an access controlled "skunk works" area for sensitive projects as well as controlled servers to protect our customers' most sensitive intellectual property. In addition to specific training, key employees undergo background checks and all employees sign non-disclosure agreements before coming on board.
